Not heating upUsually a failed heating element on electric ovens, or an ignition fault on gas — both straightforward to diagnose and fix.
Fan not workingTypically a worn fan motor. Left unfixed, it leads to uneven cooking and longer cooking times.
Gas oven not lightingOften an ignition fault — the electrical side, which we fix directly — or a gas safety-valve issue, which needs a Gas Safe registered engineer. We’ll point you to one if that’s the case.
Door won’t close or sealUsually a worn door seal or hinge — affects cooking temperature and can waste energy until it’s replaced.

Oven & cooker repairs — before you book

On electric ovens it’s usually a failed heating element; on gas it’s often an ignition fault. Both are straightforward for us to diagnose and repair.
We handle the electrical side of gas cooker repairs directly — ignition, controls, elements. We’re not Gas Safe registered ourselves, so anything involving the gas connection or supply is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer we work with, not by us.
If the repair costs less than a third of a replacement and the oven is under about eight years old, repairing is usually the better value. We’ll tell you honestly if it isn’t worth saving.
Yes — built-in single and double ovens, and built-under ovens, are all routine work for us.
We work on all major domestic brands including Bosch, Siemens, Neff, Miele, Samsung, LG, Hotpoint, Beko, Indesit, Smeg, AEG and Zanussi — plus most others.
